This is an exciting opportunity to work as a member of the dressbarn Merchandise Planning Team. The eCommerce Merchandise Planner is responsible for formulating & executing strategies for designated eCommerce department/category planned sales, margin & inventory turn goals. Additionally, he/she will successfully identify business risks and opportunities, propose solutions to maximize sales, and partner with many cross functional partners to achieve success.
In this position you will:
o Establish pre-season sales and margin plans, together with the inventory levels required to support them
o Develop & provide appropriate ad-hoc business analysis & recommendations to influence future purchases & assortment strategies.
o Provide accurate & timely reporting information (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) to the merchant teams to facilitate business discussions & strategy development.
o Work with the ecommerce team to construct & execute product promotional plans to leverage key marketing initiatives. Create Key Item/Basics product (style/color) plans to maximize sales & inventory turn for individual items.
o Construct & execute product promotional plans to leverage key marketing initiatives. Own the management of inventory of assigned categories through the creation of monthly assortment guidelines. Manage markdowns through effective inventory and promotional planning to drive profitability and maximize inventory.
o Be responsible for process improvement/development as it relates to streamlining product/planning aspects of the ecommerce business initiatives.
Desired Skills and
Experience:
o 5
years of Merchandise Planning experience in a women's specialty apparel company.
o Ecommerce or direct to consumer experience preferred.
o Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience.
o Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
o Thorough understanding of retail math.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Proficiency in Excel.
o Requires high proficiency with Oracle, JDA or similar planning tool.
