Summary:
As a Housekeeping Attendant at Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Mahwah, NJ, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key
Responsibilities:
Clean and tidy guest rooms according to Marriott's standards and procedures.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public areas.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
Restock housekeeping carts with supplies and amenities.
Inspect rooms for damage or maintenance issues and report any findings to the appropriate department.
Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens.
Provide assistance to guests with special requests or inquiries regarding housekeeping services.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and a dedication to cleanliness.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) and perform repetitive tasks.
