Job Description:
The Sr.
Quality Software Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and execution of tests for the Schedule, Time, and Pay program.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to implement testing practices and test automation for a transformational program supported by SaaS solutions, on premise and cloud technologies impacting more than 500k employees within the US population.
The candidate must have the ability to review and produce high quality test artifacts, and identify problems, generate alternatives, and recommend solutions on testing processes.
This position requires high collaboration with IT and business teams, vendors, and internal/external interfacing applications.
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst provides mentorship and expertise in testing technologies and processes.
This position applies a comprehensive knowledge of technical skills, test automation, principles, practices, and procedures of testing methodologies and working knowledge in planning, designing, and conducting test reviews and inspections.
This position collaborates effectively with the project team in the successful planning and execution of testing activities, including test automation, end to end coordination, and overall test management.
The program is aligned with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology.
The candidate must have practical experience with requirements/user stories/use case analysis, test planning and execution, test tools and test automation.
In addition, the candidate must be familiar CI/CD and DevOps practicesSkill/Experience/Education:
Mandatory Skills:
Experience with SQL Language, Azure DevOps, Scrum, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of MS project and Agile sprint scheduling and testing.
Hands on experience with test automation and tools such as Selenium, Java, SoapUI, Postman, JMeter.
Familiarity with requirement and user story elicitation.
Knowledge of cross functional End to End testing, test planning, test execution, test tools, and test automation.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills to understand complex requirements and determine the best test approach.
Must be very proactive, demonstrate a passion for testing and innovation, and a high level of independence.
Ability to guide other test resources on adherence to testing practices.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience.
Desired Skills:
Experience working on a scrum or agile team preferred.
Strong knowledge and experience with cloud technologies and Google Cloud Platform Experience with large enterprise level projects preferred.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
